Discover the contemporary work of Ulysse Navarro

Born in 1994 in Toulouse and graduate of the photography course at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels.
My practice combines photography and 3D digital creations. I'm starting at At the age of 16, photographing the rural landscapes of Tarn-et-Garonne. I then studied visual arts at home. Toulouse before joining the photography workshop of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. During this master's degree I do a year of Erasmus at Paris. the Facultad de Bellas artes de Madrid whereù I discovered 3D modeling and computer-generated imagery. I become an artist-author in 2021 and devote myself to; develop exhibitions and artistic collaborations between Occitanie and Brussels, by combining photography and 3D creation around the theme of water.

My practice combines photography, computer-generated images and video projection. My artistic approach is driven by the optical study of things and unfolds around the reflection of light. I use contemplation as a means of expression, mixing real and simulated images.

From this exploration comes a fascination with water, leading me to develop the fiction of a Fourth State of water: It is an alchemy in which the reflection of water and the reflection of digital merge. The movements of water infiltrate to become matter of light; and the light, flowing, is impregnated in the body of the water.
 
I use photography as a means of sampling, which I then virtualize via 3D modeling. Thus, Like a scientist, I am establishing research around the materiality of nature. of a virtual substance.
