Hospitality studies and around ten years spent in the hotel industry. Paris initially kept him away from the city. of his favorite pastime: photography.

Monotony and routine push him to do more. to experiment with something else: he goes on a journey adventure in the United States. This first step allowed him to acquire a real camera and then travel for several months in Central America. There, the unexpected meeting of a photographer reporter gives him the desire to deepen this passion.

Back to Paris, Valéry frequented exhibitions and museums, reading books and magazines to awaken to this art. He practiced photographing scenes of life and monuments of the capital before leaving it definitively in 1999 for Cayenne, in French Guiana. He stayed there for 4 years. Editing postcards and carnival reports, nature and heritage photographs for local institutions, he then took his first steps in the profession.

Professional since 2000, his activity today is shared between illustrative photographs distributed by several agencies for the magazine press, institutional, communication and publishing, art photography in limited edition, Social and event photography.

A fragment of life torn away from you à the great clock of suspended, frozen time, of a wave, of a plunge, of a shadow, of an action captured on the fly. unbeknownst to the characters omnipresent in the images.
The silhouettes or characters represent temporality, like a shadow on the scale of time, the ephemeral passage, from one point to another. another of life which begins and ends in solitude.
A photographic approach which is based on observation, reality, the sublimated moment. through precise framing, a rainy atmosphere, lighting highlighting graphic shadows which contribute to the atmosphere. create clean images.
