My name is Vayana, I'm 18 years old.
After a general baccalaureate with a specialization in in visual arts and English, I am currently pursuing training as a designer and illustrator.
My work revolves around emotion, portraiture, and what images can convey without words.
I draw inspiration as much from Caravaggio's chiaroscuro as from Basquiat's raw energy, and I situate myself somewhere between pop art and expressionism.
For me, creating means offering something to others: a shock, a resonance, a question.
My goal is to sell, exhibit, and above all, create for others, with sincerity and commitment.
As an artist, I seek to capture raw emotion through portraiture, emphasizing faces and gazes. My style blends pop art and expressionism, influenced by Caravaggio for the dramatic light and Basquiat for his spontaneity. I use vivid color to translate emotions, sometimes in contrast with the subject, to create an authentic and emotionally true visual experience. My works explore identity, loneliness, inner suffering, and the fragile beauty of humanity.
