« VOID SCULPTURES »
This work, essentially concerned with through the psychological experience of the human being, presents itself as a reality. traced in light, floating in transparency, developing in space.
Viewed from the front, these sibylline human figures are as if veiled, leaving only traces, signs of their experiences showing through. Apparent objectivity of these faces, blurred by the play of broken three-dimensional mirrors.
And yet they call us, challenge us...
Seen from behind, they seem to open up, grab you, follow you inexorably in search of a hypothetical answer.
Which one is true?
Seen in profile, they reveal the diaphanous material of which they are formed. Mirror games, interpenetration between the real and the virtual, their holographic image is reflected in the space. in turn in the external supports, multiplying the tangle of references.
This multiplication of points of view, this refusal of fixity; The performance of the performance was possible thanks to a patient personal work. These fine papers sculpted in transparency, fleeting imprints of feelings, become more than means: they are expression, therefore forming an integral part of the work. They allow us to free the human being from a fixedness of life. « natural », forcing him to exist by doing.
This creative process achieves, in the final analysis, the ultimate reference of the artist: his own construction, not the fixity of the artist. of the past, but the possibility of the future.
