Discover the contemporary work of Victoria Sans
A visual and digital artist trained in architecture. Her passion for the visual arts appeared at a very early age. Always drawing, at the age of 12 she began attending private classes in artistic drawing. During her architectural studies she excelled in
Architectural Drawing. Later, she attended oil painting classes to delve deeper into brushstroke techniques and color application. As for technique, Victoria paints in both oil and acrylic on canvas and also uses digital design tools.
Her works attempt to capture the rhythm of the universe. They talk about creation, the existence of the soul, love, space, time... Over the years his art has evolved from figurative to semi-abstract, and it is in abstraction that he has found the way to express his personal micro-universe. He uses basic geometric shapes and gives preference to primary colours. He breaks down and breaks the figures at will to create the effect of infinite creations. His works have no limits and his compositions are so precise that it is not possible to change anything without modifying the meaning of the entire work.
In front of his creations the viewer will find creativity and a desire to experiment with new shapes, colours, techniques... All with the aim of transmitting ideas and emotions. Concepts that make the observer reflect or question, and emotions that are so intense and positive that they touch the heart.
Her artistic influences come from artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, Henri Matisse and Sonia Delaunay. In love with poetry, there are people who see her works as if they were visual Haikus.
STYLE AND TECHNIQUES I USE
My works offer a semi-abstraction combining abundant geometry with specific figurative elements. I mainly use primary colors. Without limits and with incomplete forms, I like to create infinite canvases. The composition is fundamental in my creations, making it impossible to change anything without modifying the meaning of the entire work. I paint in oil and acrylic on canvas and I also create creations with digital design tools.
MY CREATIVE PROCESS
When I start a work, I never know how it will end up. I make sketches where I express my ideas, I draw shapes and interactions that move me. I do some canvases quickly, others I have to abandon. It depends on my mood, the environment, what happens to me, what happens in the world...
INSPIRATION, IDEA, THOUGHT
The inspiration and ideas from which my artistic creations arise are the origin of an almost mystical state of consciousness that helps me capture the internal movement of things, the rhythm of the universe... I cannot create a work that is truly sincere if I am disconnected from my inner reality.
MEANING OF MY WORKS
I try to answer my questions about creation, the existence of the soul, love, the duration of life, time, space,... Do these have dimensions? Do time and space exist in the universe? Could it be that there are realities that must remain hidden in infinity? What if it turns out that the inexplicable must continue to be so? I realize that when I look, I want to see beyond what we know.
WHY MY CREATIONS ARE THERE?
The objective of my creations is you, from your position as a spectator, I would like my work to invite you to reflect, to question what you see, or to transmit an emotion to you, that is intense, positive, better if it reaches your heart. Each work is for me a micro-universe, basic and very primary, but a universe... after all.
