Virginie Seigneul is a self-taught painter who lives in the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel.
After years in the world of communication and writing a novel, she “met” painting like we meet a distant cousin about whom we don't know much other than that we have a lot in common, a lot to like. share.
From this meeting was born a series of portraits which tell a story of their own. in their own way, according to a method of cutting shapes, a play of shadows and lights made of facets; juxtaposed, overexposed, contrasted. Attention is paid to these forced, strong features, these rough edges which highlight the character. today the temperament, the identity of the characters, often fictional, sometimes known, who make up this new family.
