Discover the contemporary work of Wilfrid THOMAS
A wandering photographer at heart for around 25 years, I use photography as a means of emotional expression.
For a long time, I practiced photography out of a taste for games then over time I took photography more seriously.
At the very beginning, I was interested in particularly at home photographic aesthetics.
Highlighting a person or a moment in everyday life taught me to identify my subject and think about it before you press the shutter button.
Subsequently, I turned to towards street photography. This photographic genre inspired me to create to write stories in pictures.
The way I behave when faced with the subject taught me how to Be as discreet as possible in order to restore a photo without altering its authentic appearance.
This way of seeing an event without almost participating in it allowed me to be more active than reactive in my photography.
Thus taking into account the various elements constituting a scene, before triggering the camera, seems to me to be the best way to restore reality.< /p>
My photographic intention, in writing reality, is to provoke emotion in the person who looks at my images. This emotion can lead to a reflection...
As and agrave; measurement of time, my conception of photography evolve towards a more artistic and more personal concept.
Natural dreamer and rather hypersensitive, I headed towards towards a more abstract photographic mode borrowed from poetry.
This approach allowed me to explore a photographic writing transmuting the elements of reality to fuel a phantasmagorical world.
This photographic writing, colored with spirituality, Seeing the supernatural, is an expression of my soul that I like to share in order to bring a touch of sweetness to the world of reality.
