Discover the contemporary work of ByYA
I discovered a passion for painting late in life. My key words are curiosity and experimentation. Following the thread of my desires and emotions of the moment, I give free rein to my intuition to explore various tools (painting knives, brushes, sponges, etc.) and apply acrylic material to the canvas and discover new ways to combine colors, textures, materials and shapes within original compositions, a bit like a treasure hunt where chaos ends up giving way to something evocative …
In the same spirit, for texture effects, I can also use wrapping paper or sand which bring a more personal touch to my work
Based in Caen, Yasmine Bayle is an artist who explores various directions of abstract painting.
Yasmine is interested in expressing multiple facets of "duality" in her visual work, light vs. darkness, softness vs. "brutality" (colors, textures, gestures), as an echo to the duplicity of life and our world.
We sometimes feel this duality when moving from one creation to another. the other, some rather sending back a feeling of appeasement with very soft palettes and curves that can make one think of nature while others can send back to a certain violence and in particular when the black color invites itself in a spot or in a more invasive way. In parallel with this work on colors, constant research is carried out in order to vary the textures and materials used and thus open up the possibility of a multisensory approach to these works.
