Discover the contemporary work of Zandonna

Zandonna was born in Aubervilliers in 1973, where he spent most of his time in the "Maladrerie" district, a district that in the 80s and 90s had many artist studios. Dyslexic, he found a means of expression and fulfillment in drawing and painting.

Attracted by artists such as San Francis or Zao Wou Ki, he began his pictorial work with abstraction and exhibited his work in Parisian salons. At the same time, he continued to draw a more figurative genre on small-format notebooks, allowing him to work in the metro, bus, bar; in search of an accidental pencil, pen, or felt-tip pen stroke that would make the drawing more original. Later, upon discovering Jung's writings, he would call this work "pulsional sketch".

Little by little Little by little, without giving up drawing, he will abandon his pictorial work to devote himself to the theater and then to the café-theater.

This period will last until the disappearance of a loved one makes him understand that he had to find meaning again.

He therefore takes up painting again, but this time rather figuratively incorporating the themes of the mask, of the harmony of the self and/or the couple, of mythology
