Art, a family affair

Coming from a family of painters and musicians, Catherine Sénéchal began painting at the age of 15 when her parents gave her a few canvases and brushes. While her painting has evolved over the years, it almost always refers to "oneself", to the joys and sorrows that humans can feel. The goal of her art is not to leave her viewer indifferent and to make him "experience" a feeling that he can appropriate.

Highlighting color

Brancusi said: "What you see makes you happy, it's all there". This is a quote that Catherine Sénéchal applies to the letter. The artist puts a lot of colors in her paintings because according to her, color is synonymous with joy, life, dynamism. Using mainly oil paint, she creates colors instinctively and highlights them thanks to harmonies and stylized lines. Classical music also plays a full part in the creation of the painter's works. Glenn Gould, the Opera, Mozart, Vivaldi and many others inspire her creations.

An artist to follow

Catherine Sénéchal's works have earned her several exhibitions in France. She has now exhibited for 25 years and is present on many online galleries where she can sell abroad.
