In this painting, Stéphane Cantin depicts the wrestlers as they were depicted, in antiquity, on vases or different artistic productions. The movement is brought about by the waltz of colors and by the presence of the two circles which can be reminiscent of binoculars. In this work, the artist chose articles that talk about the refugee Olympic team and not the struggle. Indeed, this ancient sport also refers to an ancient problem, that of human migrations and refugees fleeing their countries. They too must fight to survive and earn their place in a society that is not always ready to welcome them. Like wrestlers, they will have to conform to the movement of their opponent and draw inspiration from their uniqueness to adapt and take a place that they deserve like everyone else. The first refugee team was created in 2016.
