Les amoureux

This sculpture is inspired by Peynet's iconic Lovers, capturing the tenderness and poetry of this legendary couple under their bandstand in Valencia. Made entirely by hand, it is made from horseshoe nails and finely worked and arc-welded wire to create a scene that is both delicate and durable. The work depicts a moment of grace where the man, violin in hand, plays a sweet melody for his beloved, who stands admiringly on the steps of the bandstand. Five doves, symbols of purity and peace, enliven the scene, some in full flight, others delicately perched on the railings. These doves, like some other details, are designed and 3D printed by the artist in bio-sourced material (PLA). The extreme originality of this sculpture lies in the harmonious marriage of raw and recycled materials with a refined artistic vision.
