Ballade

This abstract painting is entitled "Ballad" an invitation to engage with the rhythms and melodies of life, which are often hidden but always palpable. It is an expression of the complexity of human emotions that come and go in layers and waves. Each viewer is invited to find their own melody in it and to be carried by the colors and shapes. The shades of blue dominate the painting and for me symbolize depth, calm, but also secrets that lie beneath the surface. The layers of blue are like waves that move gently but also suggest deep emotional currents. The red and orange accents break up this calm, they are the impulses that disrupt the flow and bring the emotions to life. These colors represent passion, movement and energy that make their way through the calm water surface. The circular element in the lower right half of the painting is a central point in my composition. For me it symbolizes an anchor point, something that is constant and deeply rooted, even when everything else is in constant motion. It is a symbol of the center around which the other elements revolve - perhaps a thought, a feeling, or a moment of clarity amidst the emotional whirlwind. The abstract human figures that appear in the lower part of the painting are deliberately vague. They represent the presence of humanity in the midst of this abstract world, but they are also fleeting, almost like memories or shadows flashing in the depth of the colors.
