Trained as an interior designer, Eric Doisy is a self-taught artist who has always loved art and design. Since 2018, the artist has devoted himself full time to his art, exploring and experimenting with many media and techniques.

Inspired by the vintage world and street art, Eric combines classic media and street art techniques such as spray paint, stencils, acrylic paint and collages.

Very focused on the feminine subject, the artist tries to capture a movement, a look. He seeks to create dynamic works on different supports, all of which could be likened to walls. On each of his works hides a small head, it is the artist's signature and a tribute to Basquiat and art brut.

Recently, his art has evolved towards cubism, naive/raw art, which allows him to have unlimited plastic freedom.

His current art is something free and expressive like raw / naive art for this limitless and authentic plastic freedom.

Eric Doisy began his career as a salesman before becoming a decorator, where he began to design lamps in cardboard, plexiglass, wood,... His meeting with a graffiti artist marked a decisive turning point in his career. Fascinated by stencil techniques, he first applied them to his lamp creations before experimenting with them on flat surfaces. He also explores collage and other artistic techniques. Admiring the work of JM Basquiat, he felt a strong aspiration to integrate this "little something extra" into his own work. This introspection led him to gradually erase his stencils, seeking to transcend the technique to achieve a freer, instinctive expression.
His creative process does not follow predefined series; he often reworks previous works while retaining stencil elements in filigree.
His work is marked by a layering and depth, testifying to his instinctive approach to drawing. Constantly in search of novelties, he goes through a long process of maturation and artistic decantation.
The eye is a recurring motif in his work, symbolizing movement and the gaze - whether introspective or turned towards the world. This motif could be interpreted as a reflection of himself, a discovery that is often made after the fact. Eric seeks to see his works live independently of him, giving free rein to the imagination of the spectator to immerse himself in his work.
