His father as mentor

Painter Vladimir Gusev Sergeevich [Художник Владимир Гусев Сергеевич] is a modern Russian impressionist born in 1988. in 1957 in Orekhovo-Zuevo in Russia.

From a very young age, Gusev has been interested in painting and shows a certain artistic talent. This is not surprising when you know that his father was Gusev Sergei Mikhailovich, an honored painter. of Russia and member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Happy, Sergei Mikhailovich helped him with the idea of his son continuing his career. take your first steps by sharing with him:

  • the technique of working with a brush
  • the capacity create a composition
  • the art of sketching

Besides being his first teacher, his father was also an impartial judge trying to guide Vladimir Gusev into becoming a thoughtful and serious artist. He tried to to learn how to his son working without meeting modern business requirements.

The artistic journey of Vladimir Gusev

Gusev follows his father's advice by graduating from college. of an art school in which professors as famous as Boris Kelberer and even Vladimir Zavgorny teach. Subsequently, he had the chance to study at the Moscow Academic Institute of Art with renowned teachers such as Professor Viktor Grigorievich Tsyplakov and Professor Zabelin Vyacheslav Nikolayevich.

Vladimir Gusev graduated in 1981 after five years of study and became a very creative artist. At the age of 24.
Currently a member of the Professional Union of Russian Artists, the painter Vladimir Gusev is considered one of the world's leading artists. as one of the most talented Russian artists.

This painter participated in the major international art exhibitions in Russia and abroad abroad. His works can be found in numerous private collections and art amateur companies in Europe (Germany, Belgium, France, Finland and Italy), in Asia (China and Japan) as well as in the United States. Since 1996, he has often had the opportunity to participate in art exhibitions and auctions organized in France. Gusev's works often appear at auctions.

A Russian impressionist painter

Vladimir Gusev devotes himself to portraits as well as landscapes and still life. Just like his father, this painter does not fit into a genre of classical realism, but into an impressionist current. Gusev depicts simple story scenes to depict enthusiastic, energetic and cheerful young girls with appropriate outfits in a sunny setting. and warm.

The paintings of this painter may seem slightly old-fashioned. This is not the case! Indeed, most of Gusev's works encourage the viewer to think about themselves. look at the paintings more closely in order to understand the emotions and feelings that emerge from the canvas.

Why does Gusev use these subjects in his paintings?

Vladimir Gusev opts for these themes in order to create luminous images against the background of our current increasingly mercantile and pragmatic life. both optimistic, amusing and poetic, his paintings are full of lightness. By having lived and worked in in France, this painter draws his inspiration from the light colors of the works of one of the French impressionist masters of the 19th century, Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Gusev's works impose themselves on spectators as a break from the hustle and bustle of his days. The painter’s objective is to make us understand that simple things are the most important, that they flow with beauty. compared to those momentary and empty things after which we strive to run.

Due to the sensual colors of the sun, their compositions or their spaces, the works of Vladimir Gusev reveal an optimistic vision of bathed nature in a poetic world.

A captivating painting

The work of Vladimir Gusev is part of a world where everything always goes too quickly like a moment of pause, a respite bringing a lot of love and kindness to the world. in works manifesting the simplistic moments of life. Thanks to In his work, Gusev seems to want to express that on this big planet, you cannot be big, you can only enjoy every moment.

If Gusev's paintings attract so much attention, it is not surprising. Indeed the time when artists choose ever more and more puzzling themes where blood and/or female nudes are predominant, this painter brings a little softness. Although the work of Vladimir Gusev does not bring anything new in technique and does not create any new direction, the eye is captivated by it. by the canvas as if by enchantment.

Gusev's paintings suggest that no effect is due to this. at random, which gives spectators the opportunity to linger longer on each part of the paintings. An exhilarating journey from which the public leaves happy. The works of Vladimir Gusev leave no one untouched, they permeate the soul: what is more important for art?
