Mixed media includes all works of art that incorporate a variety of materials and components in a single piece. Mixed media art is a work of art that combines acrylic paint with fabric and paper. Scrapbooking, sketchbooks, decoupage, greeting card design, and mixed media art journals are just a few examples of projects in which mixed media can be used. This artistic style dates back to the cubist creations of Pablo Picasso from 1912 to 1914, the root of the term itself, in its aesthetic sense, goes back to the artist Jean Dubuffet in the 1950s.

Description

Africa takes the form of a face here, unless it is the opposite. The headdress, all in relief, is also a symbol, many elements coming from the recycling of computers, or objects representing gold, diamonds, ultimately the exploitation of Africa. Mixed technique, collages with gold metallic leaf background on canvas reinforced with cardboard at the back, as well as a wooden plaque, and mounted on a frame. Resin for flawless bonding and extreme shine on certain areas, varnish finish elsewhere. Double frame, one gilded directly on the canvas, the other black in American frame style. Framed dimensions 84x66 cm. Varnished finish.
