Xi Chen, une peintre chinoise résidant en France, a commencé à peindre à l'âge de quatre ans et a été influencée par son grand-père qui était également artiste. Au fil du temps, elle a minimisé l'importance des détails dans ses œuvres, jouant avec les couleurs, utilisant d'épaisses couches de peinture, et a remplacé ses pinceaux par des spatules. Le langage artistique de Chen est centré sur l'interprétation de la nature et de sa variété de couleurs et de lumière.
Artistic approach
En utilisant différent couleurs et les formes pour créer les nuages, la mer, la plage... les espaces entre ces éléments comme les relations entre les différents personnes.
