Description
Roger Boubenec creates watercolors measuring (1.53x1.53)m, or more, where the plant prints are pressed, and the presence of water is "crystallized" by a process that belongs to him. Thus, he freezes the delicacy of the underwater waves in these paintings. He also practices oil painting, in this search for the sublime through glazes following in the footsteps of the painter Turner. This mystery of depth in which subtleties disappear to leave only the colors of the soul.
The unexpected guides his work, thanks to the dynamics of fluids, leading him towards a substance which metamorphoses into a sign, sometimes reminiscent of fossilized shells in minerals. Through his artistic project, he seeks to raise awareness of water poetry, a source of life, but also of great fragility,
