Mixed media includes all works of art that incorporate a variety of materials and components in a single piece. Mixed media art is a work of art that combines acrylic paint with fabric and paper. Scrapbooking, sketchbooks, decoupage, greeting card design, and mixed media art journals are just a few examples of projects in which mixed media can be used. This artistic style dates back to the cubist creations of Pablo Picasso from 1912 to 1914, the root of the term itself, in its aesthetic sense, goes back to the artist Jean Dubuffet in the 1950s.

Description
Symbolism in art is very important to me. It allows me to clearly emphasize a characteristic, an element that we wish to demonstrate. It is fundamental for everyone “to no longer be content with being and living in their own productions and among the symbols they have created but to grasp the concept of what they are”. This print presents a certain number of important elements. These keys are used to open the dam which has two symbols. We are our own roadblock, our own obstacle. A dam is more commonly known to be an artistic work built across a watercourse and intended to regulate its flow.
