MOUN

Graffiti artist for over thirty years, MOUN began his career as a graffiti artist. à practicing his art in the street. From the rebel to the For the artist, it is a quest for oneself and the irrepressible need to discover the field of possibilities that drives him. This research is the internal driving force of MOUN, it has led it to from the tag towards pictorial creations which are now part of contemporary art. Part of his recent production reinterprets the world of comics by associating it with graffiti. MOUN was one of the first graffiti artists to adorn his productions with characters from this universe, thus generating a unique style. The message is both social and ethical: the strength of comic icons is part of a raw urban environment and challenges us. This infinite power, which MOUN was able to capture, echoes; the violence of our society but it also draws its strength from all our hopes for a better world. However, MOUN’s art is not sad, his own style is immediately recognizable, the pictorial impact of each work is supported by a range of deep and vibrant colors associated with an intense and delicate line. Enlightened art lovers were not mistaken and were able to recognize this original work. MOUN was noticed by leading galleries in Paris or in the provinces. He is currently artist-in-residence at the Falck gallery (Bordeaux, Antibes), Chic Faktory gallery (Paris) and participates in different trade fairs in France or abroad. internationally. But MOUN is also a 2.0 artist in the sense thatù his experiments go beyond of the painted work. This is how several versions emerged, a ‘Mur by MOUN’ which corresponds to; a manually designed wall canvas, up to industrially produced wall canvases. With two partners, MOUN is a founding member of an artistic innovation startup which prepares an independent existence for canvas walls, as supports for other artists or as design objects . The era of the wall has therefore arrived, but the story is only just beginning in terms of industrialization and applications.
