Discover the contemporary work of Candy Mary
Born in 1950 in Algiers, Marie Ferrari is a graduate of the Boulle-Paris School (Design and Interior Architecture), and a certified Applied Arts teacher of the National Education as part of training in the Arts and Crafts.
She left the teaching profession in 2010, to devote herself freely to creation. She lives in Montpellier in Occitanie and exhibits her works under the pseudonym Candy Mary.
Candy Mary is a unique artist in constant evolution who engages in an atypical approach outside the official circuits. Influenced by the modernist aesthetic of the 20th century and by the Primitive Arts, she simplifies the forms and punctuates the signs with a graphic mastery that leads her into the register of Abstraction. Through intuitive writing, from which she retains the fluidity of the gesture, she becomes a shaman to make the invisible visible, developing her own visual language.
