Born in 1950 in Algiers, Marie Ferrari graduated from the Boulle-Paris School (Design and Interior Architecture). A certified Applied Arts teacher from the National Education system as part of the Arts and Crafts training, she left teaching in 2010 to devote herself freely to creation. She lives in Montpellier in Occitanie and exhibits her works under the pseudonym Candy Mary.

Candy Mary is a unique artist in constant evolution who engages in an atypical approach outside the official circuits. Influenced by the Primitive Arts and the folklores of the World, she simplifies the forms and punctuates the signs with a graphic mastery that leads her into the register of Abstraction. Through intuitive writing, from which she retains the fluidity of the gesture, she becomes a shaman to make the invisible visible, developing her own visual language.
