Born in 1950 in Algiers, Marie Ferrari has been passionate about Drawing and Decoration since childhood. From 1965 she attended the workshops of the City of Paris and went through the Académie Julian where she studied. she appropriates traditional artistic techniques (engraving, modeling, sculpture, etc.). After the Baccalaureate in Philosophy, she obtained the diploma from the Ecole Boulle (Design and Interior Architecture).

She first worked as an advertising graphic designer. In 1985 she became a certified Applied Arts teacher from National Education as part of training in Artistic Professions. She is involved in ICT (Information and Communication Technologies for Education) and creates several blogs and websites.

She left teaching in 2010, to devote herself freely to; creation. She lives next door. Montpellier and exhibits her works under the pseudonym Candy Mary.

Candy Mary's work is part of the contemporary approach of Bokusho which fuses traditional Japanese writing and abstract Expressionism.
