I am Christophe Milcent, the sculptor from Nantes who breathes life into life. steel. My artistic roots took shape in the alleys of Nantes, in the streets of Nantes. Pivaut school.

One day, while I was in the workshop of my father, a master locksmith-welder, steel captivated me. my soul. First with simple shapes, then with greater complexity. growing up, I created my first sculptures in welded steel after a year spent on the island of Reunion where I then inspiration in Asian and African arts.

Iron is my favorite material, linking my passion to life. my interest in astrophysics. Since my youth, my mind has wandered into the stars, and the iron that I sculpt comes from the first solar star, thus linking the matter that animates every living being on Earth .

The raw textures of my sculptures evoke telluric forces and the creation of matter. The steel bands express the permanent renewal of all things.

Since 2011, I have created monumental works visible in various municipalities, mainly in Brittany.

A few other of my works have joined the collection of the Château des Pères near Rennes.
