Médusa (acrylique sur toile, 46x38cm) fait référence au mythe grecque et aux multiples interprétations faites à son sujet. J’ai choisi d’orienter mon œuvre sur le regard que l'on porte sur soi, le regard des autres et leurs effets. La chevelure de Méduse, habituellement représentée par des serpents, est remplacée par le rouge et le bleu. Le rouge, rappelle les effets négatifs des émotions qui peuvent déformer l’image de soi. Ces « pulsions » feront que la tête de Méduse, surtout son regard, deviendra un miroir déformant qui pétrifie d’horreur. Le bleu, symbolisant la sérénité et la profondeur nous mène à une réflexion plus salutaire sur la connaissance de soi. Méduse n’est plus une menace pour soi mais devient une arme (comme pour Persée). D’ailleurs, le lotus, symbole de la réalisation de l'être, illustre cette victoire personnelle.
