Description
Pierre Soulages, the great painter who passed away in October 2022, was an artistic revelation for me. So, naturally, I wanted to pay tribute to him by creating this painting, freely inspired by one of his works.
It is entirely covered in marquetry of dyed rye straw on an MDF backing and framed in a handmade, black-painted American box. This painting is signed and dated on the back.
