JOSS

Scientific studies. Professorship. Discovery of symbolic abstraction and/or Tobey's abstract expressionism, Pollock's dripping and Body painting (rather the type of use Klein made of it).

Additional artistic studies (late...)

Pronounced taste for the unusual (like the Sollers couple).

First attempts having triggered the encouragement of art lovers.

Desire to explore new avenues like oil painting. hot wax on the human body.

Artistic approach

Joss practices dripping, dear to Jackson Pollock. But she combines it with Body Painting. In other words, she paints directly on the bodies, that is to say on the skin itself.

Rather than using classic paints, she prefers hot wax that she projects onto her support/model. Naturally, the latter reacts to each brushstroke, in this case to each jet of wax. The practice is not painless but he finds a slightly strange pleasure in it that reinforces that of Joss, who in return draws from it an additional energy for her creation.

At the end of each session, Joss takes photos of his support/model and an appropriate photographic treatment (but guaranteed without any AI so as not to alter the creative process) allows him to give them an authentically pictorial rendering associated with a Fine Art print on numbered and signed proofs.

In his creations, Joss never seeks to execute the slightest identifiable figure, to bring out the slightest recognizable sign of a human form or face. These are the result of the profound interaction between Joss's gesture and the reactions of the support/model.

Some compositions are teeming with pareidolia that are immediately noticeable, others reserve the discovery for a long confrontation.

It is up to each viewer to choose the work that will fascinate them the most over the years.
