Mixed media includes all works of art that incorporate a variety of materials and components in a single piece. Mixed media art is a work of art that combines acrylic paint with fabric and paper. This artistic style dates back to the cubist creations of Pablo Picasso from 1912 to 1914, the root of the term itself, in its aesthetic sense, goes back to the artist Jean Dubuffet in the 1950s.

Description
Each of the patterns, interlacings, shocks of lines and colors in this painting is made by “dripping” (projections) of hot wax onto the skin of its partner/support/model. The result is an extraordinary tension, an almost infinite energy that we perceive in front of all of Joss’s works. It is also the source of their fantastic power of fascination, because behind the subtle play of colors and the symbolic abstraction of forms, we distinguish more or less quickly strange pareidolias of faces that challenge us by their strangeness and the intense gaze they direct at us.
