La sculpture représente un personnage sur socle, d'une posture assimilable à l'élévation de Soi.Réalisé en partenariat avec l'AJMF (L'association amitié Judeo-musulmane de France), vise à lutter contre les discriminations en invitant les individus à réfléchir et à se libérer de leur préjugés, ou du moins à amener la tolérance mutuelle entre chaque communauté de personnes.Catharsis a pris naissance dans l'idée de cette libération.En effet, Catharsis désigne Purgation.La sculpture représente un individu qui se libère de tout ses affects négatifs.Il s'élève vers au delà de lui même, et tends cette main vers ce que lui et l'individu, considère comme l'inconnu. Le personnage est délibérément asexué de maniere évidente, et sans aucun signe religieux, car cela concerne tout un chacun.Ainsi tout le monde peut se sentir concerné, car le personnage représente l'Etre. Le Soi. Avant toute idéologie et croyances.Il demeure accroché à ses racines, tout en tendant cette main à l'inconnu.
