Scrapbooking, sketchbooks, decoupage, greeting card design, and mixed media art journals are just a few examples of projects in which mixed media can be used. This artistic style dates back to the cubist creations of Pablo Picasso from 1912 to 1914, the root of the term itself, in its aesthetic sense, goes back to the artist Jean Dubuffet in the 1950s.

Description
Acrylic and mixed media. Majestic, powerful and elegant, lions are among the wild animals that fascinate me. According to scientists, they could disappear by 2050. I chose to paint this lion's head in black/grey/white on 3/4 of the canvas to evoke this sad scourge, but keep a band of color to illuminate the background as a note of hope so that this breed never becomes extinct. I painted the eye in blue to make it stand out and glued gold leaf on its muzzle for the precious side of "King of Animals".
