La Maison au courant, est à la fois un lieu de vie, un espace d’exposition et une œuvre. C’est une réhabilitation du rez de chaussée d’un coron constitué de salons, salles de réunion, cuisine et commodités.
Dans la Maison au courant, on honore tous les contributeurs de la Zone d’Anniversaire Concerté (ZAC), qui en septembre 2008 avait reçu plus de 2500 visiteurs de Bruay-La-Buissière et des environs. Un grand nombre d’entre eux avait répondu aux incitations du groupe artistique Les Pas Perdus en laissant des contributions écrites, enregistrées ou photographiées.
