Mathieu Melon, passionate autodidact; visual art, I draw my artistic inspirations from my early childhood. Born in a family environment impregnated with of creativity, my mother, passionate about hand painting. oil and also self-taught, played a determining role in my early artistic awakening.
At certain times in my life, I felt the pressing need to bring life back to life. my abandoned passion. In September 2022, after a break of two decades, I decided to reconnect with drawing, turning to dry pastel and specializing in portraits on generous formats of 50x70cm. This year, I am broadening my horizons by exploring the captivating world of wild animals.
Aware of the need to of improvement, I invest myself fully in my art. I immerse myself in online tutorials and actively participate in training. an artistic association of which I am the president where I benefit from the wise advice of an experienced painter. This approach allows me to refine my technique and explore new creative perspectives despite the odds. the additional challenge represented by my color blindness, which sometimes makes the perception of shades and gradations of color complex.
Although art is not my activity, As a principal, I juggle my responsibilities as manager, alongside my friend, within the "Domaine Jean Got", offering tourist lodges and guest rooms unusual to Lugaignac. This double hat gives me a unique vision of my drawings, nourished by my varied experiences and my passion for hospitality.
Despite In the face of a busy schedule, I devote part of my energy to my work. the creation of my paintings. My art captures the reality of life. with subtlety, avoiding the excess of hyper-realism to favor artistic expression. My unique vision of colors, influenced by color blindness, creates striking contrasts and highlights the expression of the gaze.
