Description
This 50 × 150 cm canvas, made with acrylic paint, perfectly illustrates this theme. You will discover a face painted in white, reminiscent of the makeup of actors of yesteryear, intended to accentuate the movements of the mouth and eyes. This face is covered in white chalk, evoking makeup powder, and displays a particularly striking expression.
The background of the canvas represents a brazier, symbol of the expression "burn the boards", with burnt boards painted in black and copper, the latter evoking the conduction of heat and electricity.
And, to complete this work, lines of white writing run through the work, inscribing the various expressions and their definitions related to the theater.
