Born under the gentle breath of the Indian Ocean, I grew up with the waves on a sailboat named Cascade, thanks to the great adventure of my parents' love story: Reunion, Mauritius, Seychelles, Tanzania, Mozambique, Kenya, Comoros, and finally Mayotte where school awaited me.
Five years later, in this long journey, contemplation has been my great companion, my mother my guide and drawing my language to translate the beauty of the world. Guided by my passion for nature, I first chose the path of a scientific baccalaureate. However, my heart had never stopped beating for art. So, I sailed towards the shores of art history and archaeology.
Then, I entered the Beaux-Arts in Perpignan. It was a pumice stone sculpture that I had brought from Mayotte that tipped the balance in my favor. A world of creativity then opened up to me. Indeed, at the heart of this whole journey, sculpture is a periodic tide inscribed in my being.
Following this, I wanted to caress the stars of new technologies. Sketchbook and sculpture in hand, I was accepted into a school of special effects in cinema. For 15 years, this passion was my compass. Nevertheless, in this embrace, the time to return to the material arrived. In a body-to-body dance, the sculpture had remained engraved in my memory.
Propelled by my loved ones for several years, I devote my whole soul to it, finding in the curves the intact sculpted joy. I wish it for your greatest pleasure: that of the look, that of the touch and that of the energy.
An artist is someone who puts himself at the service of the causes that call him. My journey is marked by causes that have been revealed to me over time, like stars in the night tracing my path in this life. In my former activity of animated film, I had the honor of dealing with profound subjects, such as slavery, by evoking the story of J. Furcy. My goal was to awaken the consciousness of the younger generations, to light a flame of inspiration in them, so that they can find guides and examples on the path to their own liberation.
Today, as a sculptor, it is the soul of the oceans that comes to me, like a melody whispered by the waves. I am the spokesperson for this marine cause, seeking to convey a powerful message about resilience and the preservation of our natural spaces. In every curve and shape I create, I want to capture the essence of the reefs and the depths of the sea.
In my current approach, my goal is to use my artistic activity as a means of raising funds to support the actions of Coral Guardian, an association dedicated to the protection and restoration of coral ecosystems. Their work consists of raising awareness among local populations and restoring coral reefs by involving the communities that depend on them.
My artistic approach has a spiritual dimension; it is a dance between matter and emotion. It aims to materialize what I feel intensely in my guts, my heart and my head. My artistic expression is an invitation to dive into this sea of emotions, to feel our sacred connection with nature and to become aware of our responsibility towards it. Thus, each work becomes an echo of our world, a call to beauty and preservation.
