Oil painting is a painting technique well known to artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. However, this technique dates back to the end of the Middle Ages, gradually replacing tempora, which then consisted of an emulsion of egg yolk and egg white as well as colored pigments.

Its consistency was quite close to oil paint although it was later preferred for reasons of practicality.

If oil paint is popular, it is because it is a noble, rich, brilliant and creamy paint, particularly pleasant to work with for the painter.

Bi-Sensual – “Beautiful Creatures” Collection – Oil on canvas 100x81cm I feel very lucky once again to have such a special reference photograph. How can I make the image of a woman shaving in front of the mirror look fun, elegant, and even feminine and sensual? But not everything has been a bed of roses with this painting, far from it. This work has pushed me to create another 9 or 10 since it crossed my brushes. It started out as something quick and fun, but its outcome became difficult for me as my expectations of it grew. The highest of all: that in one way or another, it was a reference work for my daughters, one of those who remember because their mother has been telling them stories while they watched it evolve on the easel.
