Samiyah, born in 1993 in Livry-Gargan, is a Franco-Algerian multidisciplinary artist. His artistic practice extends to various forms of expression, including painting, collage, photography, writing and even cinema. His career testifies to his commitment to the arts and letters. After studying philosophy and cinema in preparatory classes at the Paul Valéry high school in the 12th arrondissement, she continued her studies at the Lycée Paul Valéry in the 12th arrondissement. university Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne where she obtained a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in cinema. In 2021, she obtained a bachelor's degree in graphic design at Com'Art, followed by a master's degree in artistic direction at Cifacom Paris 19th in 2023.
Passionate about multidisciplinarity; and the exploration of multiple artistic techniques, Samiyah defines herself as a “ khôlleuse», a term referring to the academic exercise of khôlle in prep, where we analyze a text or a work to extract a deep reflection from it. In the same way, she approaches the creation of her works by using and mixing mediums and inspirations to produce unique and evocative works.
Her love for visual art took root at the age of seven, when she acquired a film camera from a children's menu at the McDonald's in Sevran. Since then, Samiyah has continued to develop. to explore and express one's creativity à through various artistic mediums, ranging from painting to art. from photography to writing and cinema. Each of his creations carries a part of his identity. and an incessant quest for meaning.
