Discover the contemporary work of Tanguy LUTTMANN

Né In 1998, I grew up in the Landes countryside. After scientific studies, I worked
for two years as a research and development engineer. At the same time, I developed my technique
acrylic as a self-taught artist before devoting myself fully to it. from 2022.

I live and work between Rennes, Bordeaux and the mountains where I nourish my passion for mountaineering.

My artistic practice mainly revolves around acrylic paint, pastels and pastels. oil and the assembly of canvases whether to simply extend the support or to form diptychs/triptychs whose different parts look at each other and complement each other.

The relationship with bodies is at the center of my compositions where we find a very strong attraction for limbs which deform, as if torn apart, and which transcend simple representation
anatomical. This exploration of bodies then serves to both a reflection of my introspection and a portal to my favorite themes. We thus find intense scenes which lead my relationship to life. the notion of gender, to women, suffering and Drugs. Religion also occupies an important place in my approach and the classic compositions of religious art
are found in several of my recent paintings.
