Reflet - Autoportrait - 2017 - Collection privée

ORIGINAL WORK Reflet is a self-portrait. When I embarked on this work, which I took as an exercise at the beginning, I was far from thinking that it would become the translation into images of my experiences and my doubts of the moment. It was very difficult for me to bring this work to its end and it took me several months to achieve it, during which this woman changed her face several times... Without my planning it, I drew between the lines, characters, animals, letters and symbols, illustrating my life journey, my beliefs, my helplessness... But the message of this woman, who shakes her hair and thus lets escaping the birds of freedom, heralds of deliverance, is above all that of hope, courage and determination. Even if she turns her back on the birds, in my drawing, she does not despair until one day, after having faced with the various inevitable battles of her life, she will rediscover her dearest hope of a free life.
