Description
On the occasion of the annual exhibition of the photo club "L'oeil grand Ouvert" at the Koïfhus in Colmar (68), I am presenting a series of photographs on the "megaliths" of Steinberg.
Located 15 minutes northwest of the Col du Petit Ballon, the Steinberg, jewel of Alsace, is home to its mysterious “megaliths” at an altitude of 1,177 m. From the granite summit, the Munster valley reveals all its splendor. Legends tell of Celtic ceremonies at the solstices and equinoxes. Megaliths, fruits of time or human hands, keep their secret. Menhirs, rocks, alignments, their enigmatic shapes awaken the imagination about the millennial events past here.
