Description
With finesse and sensitivity, Olivier Zimny restores cardboard's connection to nature, masked by the industrial transformation process.
"Écritures" raises awareness of global societal and environmental issues, awakens the imagination, and takes the viewer on an inner journey through civilizations.
It evokes various forms of writing from Antiquity to the present day, from handwriting to digital writing.
However, far from seeking to imitate known writing "to the letter," the artist instead captures the universal motives of the act of writing: the human need to represent the world and to translate thoughts and verbal expression into graphic signs.
The exhibition opening will take place on Friday, April 18 at 6 p.m. in the presence of the artist.
