Carton of Leonardo da Vinci's Saint Anne
The great masterpiece you would take to Mars shown and commented on in a few words.
I was lucky enough at the National Gallery in London to be in the presence of the carton of Leonardo da Vinci's Saint Anne.
I was shocked by this creation, overwhelmed by the emotion and overwhelmed by the mystery. This large carton of 141X106 is the absolute achievement where beyond the obvious technical mastery, this work of great freedom is inhabited and timeless. To be seen and seen again and again, like listening to Mozart's requiem without ever reaching the depth of the work and rediscovering it each time.
