Mixed media includes all works of art that incorporate a variety of materials and components in a single piece. Mixed media art is a work of art that combines acrylic paint with fabric and paper. Scrapbooking, sketchbooks, decoupage, greeting card design, and mixed media art journals are just a few examples of projects in which mixed media can be used. This artistic style dates back to the cubist creations of Pablo Picasso from 1912 to 1914, the root of the term itself, in its aesthetic sense, goes back to the artist Jean Dubuffet in the 1950s.

Description
My inspiration for painting “Medusa’s Gaze” arises from my deep fascination with Greek mythology and its vast gallery of legendary creatures. The mysterious story of Medusa, with her seductive beauty and deadly gaze, captivates me and drives me to capture her essence on canvas. With brown washes, multiple layers and slow drying, each brush stroke becomes a meditation, a pause in time that allows me to reflect on the power and danger of this mythological figure. Between each layer, I find silences that invite me to immerse myself in the depth of their gaze and explore the nuances of their story. Every moment of stillness is an opportunity to reflect on the duality of beauty and danger, as I seek to capture the essence of Medusa in this work of art.
