Mixed technique

Mixed media includes all works of art that incorporate a variety of materials and components in a single piece. Mixed media art is a work of art that combines acrylic paint with fabric and paper. Scrapbooking, sketchbooks, decoupage, greeting card design, and mixed media art journals are just a few examples of projects in which mixed media can be used. This artistic style dates back to the cubist creations of Pablo Picasso from 1912 to 1914, the root of the term itself, in its aesthetic sense, goes back to the artist Jean Dubuffet in the 1950s.

Description
The question of falling glass in stained glass is always an important point. Difficult to recycle when thrown away and impossible to re-use in a stained glass window due to their dimensions. It was by drawing inspiration from the technique of mosaic and glass slabs that I began to crush my scraps by color. From so-called traditional stained glass I use the grisaille technique. I painted a parrot with its shadows and lights using a photograph. It is in the addition of color that my crushed glass comes into play. Like a pointillism painting I placed each crumb of glass with tweezers in order to restore its colors to this magnificent macaw in flight. This project is the first in a series that I will carry out on exotic birds. Decorative element which will be backlit and framed, allowing it to take place indoors.
