En 2020-21 le plasticien avait lancé les « aventures d’Igor », le monstre confiné, lors d’une première installation, rue de La Noue, à La Rochelle. Cette nouvelle création au Centre Intermondes peut être imaginée comme une suite…
La légende raconte qu’ Igor a permis aux humains de retrouver leur liberté d’action en se confinant à leur place…
…Après avoir occupé les centres urbains, de Mockba à Cordoba, de Rio de Janeiro à Sapporo, de confinements généralisés en couvre-feux successifs, de « sit-in » improvisés en repos forcés, avec une tasse de thé et un nuage de lait, s’il vous plait…
…Après avoir combattu le virus et son variant trop vaillant, Igor, le guerrier confiné a le droit à un repos bien mérité. Il a choisi le Centre Intermondes, au cœur de La Rochelle, pour étreindre ses quartiers d’hiver.
Fin du confinement, le roi Igor se repose et roupille à l’ombre de la Maison Henri II…
