This is the point where realities collide, mix. It is the idea that our universe has become too complex, too narrow to avoid a pile-up. Metal-reinforced concrete meets wildflowers, sunlight mixes with pale neon, the outside street becomes the inside path. I sought to produce images that reveal the violence of the world through the juxtaposition of different landscapes, people, subjects, objects, textures on the same medium. These elements gathered in a single place, the image that emerges reveals the complex absurdity of our reality. Each photograph becomes a universe in tension, representing the frictions, the conflicts of these elements gathered together, composed, like Frankenstein's monster, of disparate fragments compressed into a restricted space. Now, our lives take place simultaneously in several universes, social, physical, symbolic, geographical, virtual, real, temporal, and this is what I wanted to represent.
