Description
Valentine takes up the ancient theme of Vanity in a very contemporary register. Of Japanese inspiration, Vanité aux Grues features two cranes. While one focuses on appearance: the fruits painted on the bowl, the other spreads its wings to enjoy the renewal of life. Painted on cotton paper with cyanotype background, vegetable dye and inks, addition of gilding liquid. Cotton paper with fringed edges. Sold in blister pack.
